Simple vs Joint Divorce

What is the difference between a simple and joint divorce?

Simple and joint divorces are two types of uncontested divorces and both types are friendly. They agree on all issues such as child custody, support or division of assets. In other words, they do not require court intervention to resolve any issues. In a simple divorce, one party files for divorce and the other party does not contest it. In a joint divorce, both parties file together. The joint divorce requires that the two parties cooperate.
