What is FCM?

Legal Aid of Ontario Family Case Management (FCM) provides roster lawyers, under a family legal aid certificate, who are managing costly complex cases greater predictability and ample resources to offer high quality financially sound services.

Which cases are eligible for FCM?

Child, Youth and Family Services Act matters (except supervision orders) that will most likely cost more than $8000 and domestic violence cases that cost more than $12000.

What must the LAO lawyer do?

The lawyer must file a case management assessment form using Legal Aid online. A budget will be set by the case manager.
