Our nonprofit gives self-represented litigants (SRLs) RESOURCES at no cost and a VOICE to improve access to justice in Ontario’s family court system.  WE ARE NOT LAWYERS but instead have extensive experience as a self-represented litigants. We understand firsthand the frustrations and needs of self-represented parties. We are advocates to fight for treatment with respect and equal access to court resources and the family court system in general.

Our goal at Self Justice Family Law Initiative is to ensure all self-represented Ontarians have the necessary resources and support to confidently represent themselves in court.

We are hosting Inside Family Court, an educational 1-day conference for self-represented litigants navigating Ontario’s family court system on November 3rd, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fairview Library Theatre. The conference brings together experienced family lawyers, legal professionals, advocates, and financial experts to provide practical information on court procedures, disclosure, motions, trials, settlement, and other important family law issues. Our goal is to improve access to justice by giving self-represented individuals the knowledge and tools they need to better understand and navigate the family court process.
