A document brief in Ontario family law isĀ an organized, indexed bundle of all documents, such as financial records, affidavits, and reports, that a party plans to use as evidence during a trial. It is exchanged with the other party in advance to support your case and often submitted as a joint brief.
When are they exchanged?
Document briefs must be exchanged well in advance of trial, guided by theĀ Trial Scheduling Endorsement Form (TSEF).
