These comments are based on my personal experiences as a self-rep.

Unfortunately, some unethical lawyers will outright lie to SRLs to take advantage of their lack of knowledge.

They may lead a SRL to believe that they have to provide disclosure they are not required to provide. 

They may deliberately mislead SRL about the court rules.

Always check the law or check with a lawyer on limited retained to ensure you are aware of what is required of you.

Never think – well the lawyer is asking so I must be obligated to provide that!!!
